The Induction Furnaces produced by IDT are of a medium frequency for metals or non-metals fusion. They work with melting capacities that go from 200 until 2000 kg/hr and are equipped with IGT/VFCR technology for the management of electric energy.
The Induction Furnaces function with the magnetic induction system Indurforce, patented by IDT. This, bases it’s functioning in the incorporation of an auto-resonance inverter to the induction source that through electronic circuits of triggering and regulation and the modern IGBT semiconductors (Isulated Gate Bipolar Transistors), allows to control at every moment and in an automatic manner, the power needed by the crucible according to the amount of load.
The Indurforce system allows the Induction Furnace to be capable of processing ferrous and non-ferrous metals with a higher efficiency obtaining clean metals, free of gases and combustion products, and it provides a rapid melting, which implies that with an equal size it supplies a greater volume of daily production and improves environmental conditions of work, as it doesn’t generate smoke and dust and it avoids excessive heat loss.
The operation of IDT’s Induction Furnaces ensures high performance and low cost of production. The application of this equipment allows saving $US30 per kilo of molten metal in comparison with a furnace that uses oil or coal.
