TIRISCANNER ® is a modern service, delivered exclusively by IDT Chile S.A., which allows recording and analyzing, simultaneously and in the most representative conditions (full load) for all the equipment’s semiconductors, the real and effective instantaneous current and the waveforms with which high current rectifiers operate.
The service TIRISCANNER ® is a new and unique analysis tool for anticipating catastrophic failure of the rectifier as a result of the power semiconductors malfunction.
The implementation of this new technological tool gives you all the information of the rectifier’s electric power system, prevents production losses, verifies the efficiency of the system and keeps costs under control.
TIRISCANNER ® is composed of a main unit and 6 secondary units of independent acquisition, enabling an instant digital processing at the time that analog capture is done by sensors that are placed on all the equipment’s semiconductors.
More than a measuring equipment, ® TIRISCANNER is an effective tool with results that are used to improve the operational control and efficiency of a power rectifier system.

Scope of TIRISCANNER ® services performed by IDT
The TIRISCANNER ® service covers on field the registration of currents in all the equipment branches and semiconductors in the most representative conditions of the rectifier’s operation (average, nominal and maximum power) and includes, if required and requested, further analysis and adjustments in the assembly of semiconductors in order to reduce the imbalances detected.
Additionally, a final report is done by specialized experts in the manufacture and maintenance of rectifier systems. The report contains criteria, practices and recommendations for the selection, replacement and assembly of the semiconductors.
The record data on field takes approximately 2 to 5 hours depending on each rectifier’s equipment. The final report is delivered 1 week after the record data on field. |
